ECAM is a global, collaborative research institute advancing sex- and gender-informed epilepsy science across the lifespan. By connecting clinicians, translational investigators, and basic scientists worldwide, ECAM accelerates innovative, multi-center research that improves understanding of how biological sex, hormones, and life transitions shape epilepsy. Through mentorship, collaboration, and pilot funding, ECAM helps transform promising ideas into impactful discoveries that improve care for women and girls with epilepsy.
With research projects across our 9 committees, we are actively working on research to inform care.Â
